Women Of Power In Color

Stunning. Vibrant. Bold. Cinched.Snatched. Striking. Brilliant. The women who were highlighted during the 59th Inauguration ceremonies have splashed across the screens and sparked a frenzy on social media. Nothing wrong with the fashion, even Lady Gaga outfit. But there are so many meanings to the choices made. Kamala's purple ensemble was a flashpoint for the day. She stood out as an individual in the massive crowd. Purple is a rare color that signifies power, royalty, consistency, steadfastness, and wisdom. In 2020, purple represents the political mixing of blue and red, or unity. Madame Vice President Kamala Harris selected a black designer and she wore pearls to represent her sorority. This was a nod to Shirley Chisholm, the first black woman to run for President. As the first woman to hold this powerful role, she sent a clear message that she was prepared and ready to serve our nation in this capacity. Dr Jill Biden chose a blue silhouette for her attire to reflect Democratic values. Her poise and strength came shining through as she supports our newest President. However, Former First Lady Michelle Obama slayed any competition.  Her burgandy/oxblood suit with gold accessories was splendid, extravagant, and breathtaking. Michelle exuded confidence walking hand in hand with her husband, my Forever President Barack Obama. All hailed the Queen of White Houuse fashion, the greatest of all time who broke the rules and rewrote the role of FLOTUS.  These women made sure that they leaned in to the political fray and persevered. They fight the good fight and clear the path for future leaders to follow. The inspiration these ladies generated for little girls and boys will positively impact our future. It is up to us to bsnd together and move this country forward. The work begins NOW. What are you prepared to do? Share your comments below.  Thanks for stopping by.  Stay safe and stay healthy. Take Care and God Bless!!!
