Inauguration Day 2021
Jesus wept. And today, I wept. Profusely. The inauguration ceremonies for President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris were filled with history and nostalgia. The overriding theme was hope for the future. There were so many moments with so many gems dropped. It was a feast for eyes sore from four (4) years of fake news, pillaging, nepotism, segregationist, racist, and misogyny based policies. These ceremonies were diverse and inclusive. COVID-19 has trained us to shelter in place and participation virtually. These exclusive events now opened up to the general public. We each have our place in history. We witnessed the transfer of power up close and personal. Politicos from the past, present and future added to the pomp and procession. They projected the imagery of strength, unity, and dignity. President Biden wasted no time signing 15 executive orders into existence. These orders help to reverse the reversal of policies from the previous administration. It was too much to write in one blog post. Watch for my series on the shift this Presidency will hopefully have on our society. I cried. I laughed. I leaned in. And I observed. Did you watch it live? Are you reviewing the news reels? What did you think? Share your comments below. Thanks for stopping by. Stay safe and stay healthy. Take Care and God Bless!!!
