Georgia Votes: Make A Difference

Did you hear the audio tape from the outgoing lame duck resident of the White House? I used to scoff at the millions spent on political campaigns. The salaries paid pale in comparison to the PAC money spent. Now I see that even "independent billionaires" can be overtaken by the power the Oval Office yields. This display of political pressure and electoral interference is appaling at best and criminal at worst. What I find more shocking is the number of Georgia residents who may not vote tomorrow. Reportedly, over 940,000 registered black voters DID NOT VOTE in November.  Now that the nation is squarely focused on the Peach State, it is still our opportunity to help them. Call and/or text anyone you know and ask if they voted early. If so, encourage them to call others. If not, make sure they have a plan to vote. If you're on the ground in GA, volunteer.  If outside GA, donate. So many celebrities have made appearances to support the right to cast ballots. DJs have gotten together to do a 50 hour marathon to get people to energize and exercise their right to vote. I choose to honor my ancestors who fought, bled, and died for our civil rights.
