Calm Yourself Down

Happy Labor Day 2020!!! How did you fair? Did you enjoy yourself? Were you out and about during the pandemic? Or did you shelter in place? For many families, tomorrow is the first day of "school". After watching the the news and social media, I can imagine all the scenarios you've sorted through.  I can also imagine the "talks" you've had about this. As a single person, I took the luxury to rest. We all must make the best decisions for tomorrow. However, are you finding it difficult to sleep? To relax? To enjoy life? Americans are increasingly concerned about outside influences that affect daily activities. We need to re-center ourselves to calm the forces in our heads. Let's concentrate the rest of this series on mindfulness. Here are some suggestions to adjust your activity toward mindfulness:

1. Gently refocus when your mind wonders
2. Release tension in your shoulders
3. Imagine a relaxing scene
4. Relax your entire face
5. Breathe deeply
6. Notice, don't judge your emotions

We need to work on small changes. We can certainly put these suggestions into actionable steps into habits. As we continue to use these steps, they'll become habits. I know I can use better habits to increase my health, wealth, and wellbeing. How about you? What are your thoughts? Can you use these suggestions? Are you finding methods that work? Please share your comments below. Thanks for stopping by. Stay safe and stay healthy.
