Snowmageddon: Groundhog Day 2022
Happy Wednesday Everyone. Today is typically known as hump day. but the extraordinary, unbelievable weather was too much to overcome. We are in the midst of Snowmageddon. 36 states in this country are under snow and ice warnings. Weather alerts are scheduled to last through the weekend. Its February and to be expected during winter, but this climate event has really taken a toll on a lot of people. No one expected the one two punch that is coming. The weather forecasters are literally monitoring the radars around the clock. All the snowblowers and shovelers are doing overtime. Here in Chicago, we got over 10 inches of snow in one day. But I also want to talk to you about your outlook. Your vision. Your motivation. The groundhog did not see the shadow so we're going to have six more weeks of winter. Well, it seems like all the snow is trying to fall out of the sky today to just make up for this short winter. It's all about your perspective. What is the folklore of the groundhog really saying? Do they really mean anything or is there a hidden message there? Can your outlook be changed simply by whether or not you see darkness or light? Are you looking at the glass half full or half empty? Or just realizing the fact that everything is refillable and renewable. Quick story: in 2011 I was celebrating my birthday when Monster Snow happened. I was actually stranded in Hawaii for two days because of the closures of the flights in and out of O'Hare. Now, people I was traveling with were in different parts of the country. Since they did not get hit as hard so they all had their flights. I was left two days alone in Hawaii, celebrating my birthday. Now I won't go into all of the capers that I got into but I will say it's your perspective that matters. Most people would love to be stranded in Hawaii and I certainly made the most of it. But coming back home was still a top priority for me. Take a look at everything that's happening around you. We're in a pandemic. People don't want to wear masks. People are fighting over votes. People are fighting over black history month and whether or not critical race theory should be taught. People are just fighting over everything. Its exhausting but can be doable.Do you. Xo what makes you happy. Do what makes you proud. Do something. Don't sit there and be mindless, motionless sponge. Or worse, a followers. Be a leader. Be an influencer. Lead the thought process. Think about things. Evaluate things. Pray over things. Follow Gods plan for your life as He wont let you go astray. You'll find that your journey will be better... even through the storms of life. So how are you surviving this climate event? Do you need help? Do you have a support circle and emergency plans? Please share your comments below. Thank you for reading this article and supporting this blogspace. Stay safe, warm, masked and healthy. Take Care and God Bless!!!
