Celebrating the HistoryMaker: Bishop Arthur M Brazier
This Sunday was one of rest and remembrances. Ten years ago, our Pastor Emeritus transitioned to be with the Lord. To celebrate his memory, our church replayed one of his most popular sermons. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our church was able to pivot to streaming service along witha dial-in feature. Have you ever seen "the move of the Spirit" at your church? I must admit that God is omnipresent so He's always there in the sanctuary. Sometimes He shows up and shows out. Bishop Brazier always ran a timely service, but this was an experience to behold. To see his image digitally remastered and preserved was amazing. He gave his greetings to the members and proceeded to his sermon. Bishop talked about faith. He talked about living through some of our mistakes and trusting God in all things. Bishop Brazier spoke with a fire that took over the Sanctuary. By the time all was said and done, most of the congregation were on their feet. I felt the weight of the world fall off my shoulders and the peace of God in my heart. It felt like I was there with them as one congregation with one Spirit. Has anything moved you so positively? Have you used that event to inspire others? If not, now is a great time to start. I invite you to look at this service for yourself on www.acog-chicago.org and let me know what you think. Please share your comments below. We're all on this journey together striving to be the best we can be. Thank you for stopping by. Take Care and God Bless!!!
