Do you need a moment?
Happy Thursday. The country is caught up with raging fires, torrential rainstorms, unbearable heat and warring factions. Not very optimistic is it? During the pandemic, many articles have been written about self-care. While you want to ensure good health practices, how do rest your body? Your mind? Your sou? How do you show you love? Do you struggle with the concept of taking a break? Societal norms frown upon slowing down as lazy and detrimental. For some reason, we value putting ourselves last to push through to the finish. Black women are often tapped to lend our diverse genius to right the world's wrongs. Often, people give and give and give without replenishing the energies released. It's important to genuinely take care of yourself. Singles need to learn this concept before bringing others into a committed relationship. Married couples have to build the partnership on the foundation of their individuality. The biblical ideal is that we cast our cares on God and let Him give you rest. Can everyone maintain this pace? Or is that too much pressure? We can only improve self after living life. We bump. We bruise. We learn. We grow. If I'm better today than I was yesterday, then I've accomplished something. So are you listening? How full is your schedule? Can we accept and talk about the benefits of successful rest? Let's chat. This has taken several posts to unravel...and thers so much more to go. Share your comments below. Thanks for reading this article and supporting this blogspace. Stay safe, masked and healthy. Take Care and God Bless!!!
