Hang in there
Hump day indeed!!! It rained across most of the country. News outlets are throwing stories together like patchwork quilts. Meetings have turned into isolated cubes of simulated togetherness. Jobless claims are rivaling the Great Depression and food insecurity has gripped the nation. What COVID-19 is teaching us to shift quickly. The number of businesses that are making facemasks have taken over the internet. Bloggers are creating content around at home remedies for shuttered non-essential businesses that permeated our lives. The world is an upside down ball of confusion. How are you dealing with that? Are you working or looking for work? Are you a business owner or a hustler? Are you single or do you have families you're responsible for? Everyone has a cross to bear. We must navigate these rough waters with skill, patience and grace. It's tough sometimes but we must hang on. Hang on to our hopes. Hang on to our dreams. Hang on to the promises of God that He will never leave us or forsake us. So many passages of scripture talk about faith, hope and strength. Now we must apply these principles for our lives. Many NYE and Watch Night 2020 sermons focused on Vision. What are you seeing? Is it a good look where you are? What is your focus now? Are you yet holding on? Share your comments below. Thank you for stopping by. Stay safe and stay healthy.

DON'T QUIT
Happy Monday!!! We've been in quarantine for so long that the days are running together. Normally Spring is the best time of year signaling new growth and changing seasons. Personally, I have started the best jobs in April. But 2020 is different. COVID-19 has dampened the spirits of many with quarantine chaos and shelter in place laws. Right now, arrests are being made. Citations are being issued. Protests are surrounding state capitals. Congress has become the stimulus battlefield. People are starving while food supplies are being thrown away. Yet, we must stay the course for the greater good. Congregating for house parties will set things backwards if everyone gets sick or spreads disease to others. Let us learn from the Spanish Flu of 1918. 50 million lives lost because people were tired of following orders to stay home. We are travelling the journey of life. No reason for it to end here. Hold on to your faith and weather the storm. We will be better when we get to the other side. How are you dealing with the quarantine? How are you coping with the shelter in place? Please share your comments below. Thanks for stopping by. Stay safe and stay healthy.

Self Care 2020
Happy New Year? Well 2020 has been a roller coaster that rocked the world. The "Rona" has changed our lives forever. Reacting to COVID-19 has forced us to look at harsh realities on a multilevel front. Lost in this mix is taking care of yourself. Some people are starting new ventures while others are trying to hold on to what they have. Some are working and schooling from home. Others have lost their jobs, businesses, lifestyles, and support systems. The feeling of isolation is heavy and has sparked discussion about mental health services. I am blessed to have my faith and hope in Jesus fortified by the answered prayers. I have found a community that focused on uplifting each other in God. I am lucky to be drawn back to my calling and purpose in life. I took a break from blogging to focus on my job. But now, I am focused on you. I know you have your goals and your dreams on the line. But I also know you may be neglecting yourself in the process. How are you caring for yourself? If you have problems answering this question, you have proven my point. I found this image that starts us off on the right track. Let's refocus and restart our journey. Leave your comments below. Thanks for sharing. Stay safe and stay healthy.
